| Press Release February 2008 Big changes at Jade Some important developments have taken place at the Architectural division of the Jade group who, until recently were based in Shoeburyness near Southend-on-sea with its sister company, Jade Signs. The head office for Jade has moved to Chelmsford, where the Architectural division has always been based and the Signs division has been closed down. The signage industry has always been notoriously cyclical and, in this instance was proving to be a serious drain on Jade Group resources. The departure of the director in control of Jade Signs and a workforce that could be without work for weeks at a time effectively hastened the inevitable. Jon Sims, the Managing Director of the Jade Group said: “ Closing the signage division was one of the hardest decisions I have had to make. However, the Architectural Division has a healthy order book and unencumbered by the Signs Division, will continue to perform well despite the economic predictions for this year.” Jon Sims is now the sole owner of Jade Architectural, which is now known as JAS Metals Limited trading as Jade. |
